Berlin team Mücke Motorsport’s five drivers will step on it again when the ADAC Formula Masters approaches the end of the season this weekend (14th to 16th September) with races 19 to 21 on the Nürburgring. “Our drivers are entering the second last event of the season focused on victory and podium places, collecting as many points as possible”, so team manager Peter Mücke’s directive. Considering a total of 130 points yet to be allocated (for six victories in the six remaining races), the battle for the championship title is technically not finalised yet.

Best Mücke pilot in the overall ratings is currently Jason Kremer from Bonn. The driver, sponsored by the ADAC Sports Foundation and the Deutsche Post Speed Academy, holds third place in the table with 59 points less than the current lead. Expectations of a better position were disappointed just under three weeks ago, when he gained a mere five points over three races at the German Capital’s home game on the Lausitzring (24th to 26th August). After this weekend which he’d rather forget, Jason Kremer now returns onto the track where he celebrated his most successful weekend two months ago. Mid July, the Bonn man had gained 51 points for places 2,1 and 3 at his home game on the Nürburgring.

Hendrik Grapp, pushed forward by his first ever victory and first ever ADAC Formula Masters podium place and driving for the ADAC Berlin Brandenburg, travels to the Nürburgring highly motivated. The Berlin rookie had won the first race at the Lausitzring, ranking twelfth in the overall table. Listed ahead of him are Mücke colleagues Roy Nissany (Israel) and Luca Caspari (Meerbusch) in ninth and tenth place. With good placements, both could move up considerably. This is also the hope of Formula newcomer Florian Herzog from Dresden who, like Grapp and Caspari, is sponsored by the ADAC Sports Foundation. Following a pointless Lausitzring home game, he intends to make up for it at the Nürburgring.
