The anticipation to a great event is already big at the German team Mücke Motorsport from Berlin and their drivers before the finale of the motor sports season 2012 of the Formula 3 Euro Series and FIA European Championship, which is scheduled for next weekend (19th to 21st of October) on the Hockenheimring. The racing stable from the German capital city will be on start with three drivers at the Macau Grand Prix of the Formula 3 in China from 15th to 18th of November. Besides the new-signing for coming season 2013, the Australian Mitchell Gilbert (living in England), there will be the two Mücke pilots of the actual F3-Euro Series and European Championship Felix Rosenqvist (Sweden) and Pascal Wehrlein (Germany/Worndorf) on the track of the former Portuguese Colony.

While Rosenqvist is a favourite at his third participation in Macau, Gilbert and Wehrlein will have their debut. „But that doesn’t mean that they don’t have chances to get top positions“, team principal Peter Mücke said. „Especially Pascal, who showed a great rookie season at the Formula 3 Euro Series so far and still has chances for the title before the last race in Hockenheim, is able to finish at front of the field in Macau“, Peter Mücke said. „Of course he never drove on this track and he has to gather experience at the trainings, but Pascal is very ambitious and very fast as well.“

And the anticipation of the driver from Worndorf, who will celebrate his 18th birthday on Thursday (18th of October), is enormous. „I looked at the track on the simulator. Macau is something very special“, the pilot, promoted by ADAC Stiftung Sport and Deutsche Post Speed Academy, said confidently. “I feel quite comfortable on city courses and in Macau there are good possibilities to overtake on the long straight“, Pascal Wehrlein thinks, who is on second position at the moment at the F3 Euro Series and leads the Rookie Championship as well. „It is all about prestige, because there will be all the top drivers of all racing series. A win in Macau surely is a stepping stone for higher duties“, Wehrlein knows. „It is appealing to compete with the best drivers from all over the world. I think we are able to be at the front of the field – this should be our goal in any case.“

That is what his team colleagues of Mücke Motorsport and his team principal agree with. „But now our concentration and our focus is on the season finale of the Formula 3 Euro Series and the European Championship, where we want to use our chances to muscle in with whole power“, Peter Mücke said.
