Peter Mücke, his team and his drivers have one goal at the last season event of 2012: They want to be on the top position of the podium at the Macau Grand Prix of the Formula 3 in China starting Thursday (15th of November) until Sunday (18 th of November). Mücke Motorsport will be on start at this highlight in the former Portuguese colony with the Swede Felix Rosenqvist, third time on the city course – second time for the racing stable from the German capital city –, as well as the two Macau novices Pascal Wehrlein (Worndorf) and the Australian Mücke new signing Mitchell Gilbert (all Dallara Mercedes).

„All of the three drivers are able to win this race. And not only our drivers are highly motivated, but the team also, because they want to reward themselves for the hard work all over the season with a successful season ending“, Peter Mücke said. And the crew would be able to give a special present with a good result for their team principal on his 66 th birthday (21st of November).

How to manage that and the fact that the cars of Mücke Motorsport from Berlin are able to be at the front of the field is what the season finale of the Formula 3 Euroseries and the new FIA Formula 3 European Championship (19th to 21st of October) showed. The Mücke racing stable got two pole positions, two fastest lap times, two double achievements, two vice titles, one Rookie champion as well as overall European Championship ranking three and four. „Of course this was our highlight of this season so far and same time the best result in 2012. We want to knot on to these great results in Macau“, Peter Mücke said, whose racing stable was vice champion at the team ranking of the F3ES as well as Rookie Champion Pascal Wehrlein at the drivers ranking. Felix Rosenqvist won two times before Wehrlein and secured European Championship position three ahead his team colleague.

„That has been a great weekend, but right after that our concentration was on the preparations for the Grand Prix of Macau“, Peter Mücke explained. „We don’t know how to repose on our results, because that would mean regress. We want to advance further and we want to proof that in Macau as well. To be on the podium in this race would crown it all after this successful season.“ And of course the drivers think that way too.

The youngest of the three drivers is Mitchell Gilbert, who was put on contract by Mücke Motorsport for the season 2013 at the Formula 3 and he has his first adoption for the team in Macau. „I am very proud to take part at one of the most important Formula 3 races in the world with a professional team like Mücke Motorsport and I will do my best“, the 17 year old Australian said, who lives in Twickenham (London) and who was overall fourth this year at the German Formula 3 Cup.

Pascal Wehrlein, who is supported by the ADAC foundation Sport and Deutsche Post Speed Academy, is only a little bit older, because he celebrated his 18th birthday just about one month ago (18th of October). For him it is not only interesting to compete against the best Formula 3 drivers in the world. He wants to be at front of the field, because: „A win in Macau surely is a stepping stone for new tasks“, the driver from Worndorf said, who is always very fast on city courses.

Felix Rosenqvist, who celebrated his 21st birthday just a few days ago (7th of November), calls Macau „the absolute season highlight. This is the biggest challenge a Formula 3 driver can have. I am really looking forward to this event and I want to take the drive of the very successful racing weekends at the Formula 3 Euroseries and European Championship with me“, the Swede said.
