Rebellion racing: Spring drivers crews
At Sebring, for the traditional opening round of the ALMS season (March 16), the Anglo-Swiss team will run two Lola-Toyota coupes. Fourth overall in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2012, Neel Jani, Nicolas Prost and Nick Heidfeld will drive the No. 12. The crew of the No. 13 already raced together in the closing round of the FIA World Endurance Championship 2012 in Shanghai, Andrea Belicchi, and Chinese driver Cong Fu Cheng will be joined by Mathias Beche, title holder last year in the European Le Mans Series.
Winners of the private teams trophy last year in the LM P1 prototype class in the World Championship, Rebellion Racing defends this with both cars in the first three rounds of the World Championship 2013: 6 Hours of Silverstone (Great Britain, 14 of April 14), the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps WEC (Belgium, 4th May) and the 24 Hours of Le Mans (22nd-23rd June).
Meanwhile, Nick Heidfeld and Neel Jani will drive the Lola-Toyota entered in the ALMS. The German and Swiss drivers will be in California for the second and third round of the season on the street circuit of Long Beach (20th April ) and on the road course at Laguna Seca (11th May). A true “intercontinental spring” for the team and its black and gold cars, since these two races will each be a week after the WEC rounds at Silverstone and Spa-Francorchamps!
