GDL RACING WITH THREE CARS AT 24 HOURS OF DUBAI

After having been on the verge of the victory in 2010, 2011 editions at 24 Hours of Dubai, achieving the Class success three years ago, GDL Racing will take part for the sixth time to the Middle East race scheduled from 9 to 11 January. Italian-based team leaded by Gianluca De Lorenzi will line-up three cars, including two Porsche 997. The first one shared by Australian Paul and Ray Stubber, the Hong Kong’s driver Nigel Farmer – who recently entered 6 Hours of Rome with GDL Racing too – and local Bashar Mardini, last October brilliant at his debut in the “Targa Tricolore” Championship at Misano.

The other Porsche will be driven by Austrialian John Issifidis and Rob Thomson, German Marco Schelp and Swiss Kurt Thiel.

GDL Racing will also line-up a new Mercedes SLS in the A6 AM Class – subject to the mandatory time of 2.05 – for Dutch Luc Braams, Ivo Broukers and experienced Duncan Huisman, five time winner at Macau and multi-crowned GT champion. Team manager Gianluca De Lorenzi will complete the quartet.

GDL Racing moreover announced that in 2014 will enter all the 24H Series events, including 12 Hours of Mugello and Zandvoort and 24 Hours of Barcellona and Hungaroring. In addition to them, De Lorenzi’s team will take parte to the famous Nürbugring and Spa-Francorchamps 24 Hours, and will unveil soon its programs in the Italian and International Series.
