CREVENTIC increases its activities: five rounds for 2014 24H SERIES powered by Dunlop
Building on the success of its flagship event, the Dunlop 24H DUBAI that will see its tenth running next year (8-10 January, 2015), Dutch agency CREVENTIC has significantly increased its activities for this season. The calendar of the 2014 24H SERIES powered by Dunlop includes no less than five events, with the next round, the inaugural Dunlop 12H ITALY-MUGELLO, coming up next month (14-15 March) already.
“Of course, Dubai is where it all started and where we put on our first race as promoters and organisers, in co-operation with DNRT, back in 2006,” says Gerrie Willems on behalf of CREVENTIC. “Meanwhile, the race in Dubai has become firmly established in the international motor racing world and is often mentioned together with other classic endurance races for GT cars like the Nürburgring and Spa 24 Hours. A few years ago, the 24H BARCELONA was added to our portfolio thanks to our good co-operation with the Spanish organisation from RACC and the Circuit de Catalunya-Barcelona. This year’s race in Barcelona will be held from 5-7 September. The Dunlop 12H HUNGARY, taking place on 3-4 October this year, also has become a traditional part of our programme. With the Dunlop 12H ITALY-MUGELLO on 14-15 March and the Dunlop 12H ZANDVOORT on 30-31 May, we were able to add two further events at fantastic circuits to our series for this year.”
Discover new circuits, cities and countries
From Dubai to Italy and from The Netherlands to Hungary, all the rounds of the 24H SERIES powered by Dunlop are characterised by a friendly and convivial atmosphere in the pits and the paddock. “It is our aim to share our passion for motorsport, to enjoy great events at beautiful circuits, often with nice weather, and to discover new cities and countries. We are privileged that we can take part in such nice events and we want to enable as many other teams and drivers from all over the world to do so as well,” Gerrie Willems comments. For the various rounds of the 24H SERIES powered by Dunlop, teams can enter two to five drivers per car and they all will have plenty of track time. For the European races, drivers from European countries only need a national licence. Drivers from non-European countries need at least an international C licence. To help drivers find rides and teams to find drivers, a drive/ride board is available for all rounds on the 24H SERIES website at www.24hseries.com.
A compact and efficient time schedule, often with a two-day format, helps drivers to fit the racing events into their planning. CREVENTIC also provides top-class catering at all the events. Identical technical regulations and classes for all the rounds facilitates planning and preparations. Dunlop serves as the title sponsor of the 24H SERIES powered by Dunlop and is also the exclusive tyre supplier for all the rounds.
