Team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport signs Philip Hamprecht for the 2014 ADAC Formula Masters
Berlin Team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport signed a further driver for the 2014 ADAC Formula Masters season with Philip Hamprecht aus Hagen (North Rhine-Westphalia). The 16 year old is a newcomer to the formula racing sport, having started his motorsports career in bambini class racing kart in 2008, instantly achieving the West German Championship title. After a three year break, the student collected three victories in the German Rotax Max Juniors in 2012. Last year saw him take the championship title in the same class when he was also named “Rookie of the year” in the British Rotax Super One Juniors and in the Rotax Pan American Championship. He was listed as overall eleventh in the European Championships. Philip Hamprecht achieved a total of eleven victories and twelve podium places in 2013.
“Philip is a talented new driver for our team. So far, he has been exceptionally successful in karting and convinced us in the first trials that he was well capable of handling the formula car”, says Peter Mücke, the manager of the German Capitol’s racing team, in action for the ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg. “In his first ADAC Formula Masters year, it is particularly important for Philip to gain invaluable experience and to progress with each race. He should have no problem to get within reach of top ten places. He will certainly benefit from our experienced team during the training programme for young drivers.”
Philip Hamprecht is looking forward to the intensive work with Team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport. “I was welcomed with open arms in Peter Mücke’s racing team and after the first few trials already feel right at home in last year’s champion team”, says the young man from Hagen. “Steering a formula racer is of course a huge difference to sitting in a kart but I’m enjoying it tremendously and will give only my best to achieve good placements in this coming season. My main priority for now is to learn, gain experience and to pass the finishing flag in each race.”
Philip Hamprecht is the fourth to be confirmed as 2014 ADAC Formula Masters pilot for the Mücke racing team. Recently announced as active drivers were last year’s vice champion Maximilian Günther (Rettenberg), now in his second year with Team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport, and Swiss Giorgio Maggi (also in his second year) and newcomer Marvin Dienst (Lampertheim, last year’s fifth). Benjamin Mazatis (Bruckmühl) was contracted as test driver for the season with plans to be entered into the start line up of the junior series in 2015.
This year’s season commences from 25th to 27th April in the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. The ADAC Formula Masters diary includes eight racing weekends with a total of 24 races.
