6 HOURS OF SILVERSTONE – FRIDAY DRIVERS & TEAM MANGER QUOTES

rebbelion 1904

Nick Heidfeld  Lola-Toyota #12 : – « It’s nice to be at the start of the season again after the winter. This is the last race for the Lola. I hope that we will be closer in competition with the R-One than we are with the two Lolas today. We did normal setup changes and tried some interesting things. We are confident to have a good car for tomorrow. »

Nicolas Prost  Lola-Toyota #12 : – « The car was really good this morning. But this afternoon, it was less good. We met a lot of traffic when we put on fresh tyres. It’s not really easy to say where we are for the moment because on this track a car in the wrong place can spoil a flying lap. But overall, everything is all right for us. We are closer than ever to the works cars and it’s fun to be part of the big fight. »

Mathias Beche  Lola-Toyota #12 : – « I’m really happy to be back in the REBELLION team and to feel again the race atmosphere. It’s always great fun to drive at Silverstone, particularly in LMP1. It was a good day for us. We have tried various options especially with the tyres. I hope that we will stay during the race as close to the factory teams as we are now. This could help us to take advantage of good opportunities… »

Andrea Belicchi Lola-Toyota #13 : – « It was a positive day. We are quite happy with the set-up. If it stays like this, the gap between the works teams and us will be reasonable. We could have a close fight. Today we double stinted the tyres and had good laptime. If the weather is like today, we could say we have a good car. »

Dominik Krainhamer Lola-Toyota #13 : – « It’s really nice to drive again after the winter, particularly with the REBELLION team where I already feel well integrated. Every one is doing every thing for that. In the car, it’s better and better. I know that I’m not 100% were I want to be yet, but the team said to me that it will take time to do so. In the car #13, we have done nearly the same lap times today and I think it is a good thing. We’ve done some good work today, especially with the Michelin tyres. We have good options for tomorrow and for the race. On Sunday, our goal will be to finish the race in a good position. A 6 hour race is too long to predict what will happen. We have to stay on track and see what will happen. Perhaps Silverstone could be a good place for us? »

Fabio Leimer  Lola-Toyota #13 : – « The day was really positive overall. We had no problems with the car. We are ok with the speed. We hope that we could (still) be in front of the factory Porsche after the qualification session tomorrow. I feel comfortable with the car. It’s only my second day in the car and it’s not enough to prove, I need more time for that. But the work we did today will be really useful for tomorrow, »

Bart Hayden, REBELLION Racing Team manager : – « Both cars, #12 and #13 have set competitive lap times today and it’s encouraging when we can see that there is not too big a gap between all the LM P1 cars.  The Lola is well suited to the Silverstone circuit, so we will be looking to extract the maximum from both cars tomorrow during the qualifying session.  It would be nice to have a close race with the factory cars.  The new drivers in the team, Dominik and Fabio have slotted in well and both of our cars are equally competitive, so it will be interesting to see how the rest of the weekend develops.  »
