The German Team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport slightly missed the podium at the Moscow
The German Team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport from Berlin slightly missed the aimed podium placings at the Moscow premiere of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship this weekend (11th to 13th of July). The Austrian Lucas Auer finished fourth and fifth at the season runs 19 and 20, but discarded at the 21st race on Sunday evening five laps before the end of the race at the Moscow Raceway about 80 km western of the Russian capital city. The Swede Felix Rosenqvist finished in the point rankings on the positions eight, seven and five, the Colombian Tatiana Calderon got points on position eight in the last race at the 3.931 km long track (earlier 14th and 11th). Roy Nissany from Israel finished on the positions 18, 14 and 16. Winner of all three runs has been the French frontrunner Esteban Ocon (all Dallara Mercedes).
„We didn’t have the right starting positions to score podium placings. The results at the qualifying were not good enough to reach the front of the field at this track“, team principal Peter Mücke said. „The speed was good, Lucas and Felix had great lap times like the front of the field. Lucas has been unlucky in the last race and discarded after a contact with a combatant just like Roy.“ Tatiana Calderon got better from one race to another. „She showed a great performance“, Peter Mücke said.
Lucas Auer remains the best placed driver of the racing stable from the German capital city on third position at the overall rankings. The next Mücke pilot in the top ten of the overall rankings is Felix Rosenqvist on position seven. kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport defended the second position at the overall team rankings. The eighth season event of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship is scheduled from 1st to 3rd of August at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg (Austria). Lucas Auer from Kufstein is already very excited about his home race in the Steiermark with the season runs 22 to 24.
