The German Team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport scored two podium placings at the FIA Formula 3
The German Team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport from Berlin returns with two podium placings from the eighth season event of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship last weekend (1st to 3 rd of August) at the Red Bull Ring in Austria. The local hero Lucas Auer from Kufstein finished third at the 23rd and 24th race on Sunday after his tenth position at season run 22 on Saturday (2 nd of August). Felix Rosenqvist from Sweden finished on position four on Saturday but discarded early at the other two runs. Tatiana Calderon (Colombia) finished in the points ranking for the fourth time this season on position nine on Sunday afternoon. Earlier she finished on the positions 11 and 13. Roy Nissany (Israel/all Dallara Mercedes) missed the top ten on position eleven on Sunday afternoon, earlier he finished 15th and 14th.
„After all, it has been a good weekend for us with the two podium placings and further point rankings. Certainly the qualifying results have not been good enough to get more to the front of the field. More has been off the cards“, team principal Peter Mücke said. „Lucas got the best out of this situation. Felix has been unlucky twice, when he got involved in crashes without any fault of his own and discarded. Tatiana showed a great performance again, had a few tough duels and got rewarded with points again. And Roy also showed a great performance, but has also been unlucky with crashes at track. But he didn’t give up. To prove that, he made up a few positions again after a penalty drive through in the pit lane. Tatiana and Roy have been only a few tenth of a second behind their team colleagues with their good speed“, Peter Mücke explained.
Lucas Auer, who is on overall drivers position four at the moment, was very happy about the two podium placings in his home Austria. „I am very happy about the progress that we made from Friday to Sunday in general. My Team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport really did great work“, he said. Felix Rosenqvist remains on overall position seven. Tatiana Calderon is on overall position 18, two position ahead Roy Nissany. The Team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport is on the third position of the team rankings. The races 25 to 27 will be held in about two weeks (15th to 17th of August) on the Nürburgring.
