The kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport team drivers from Berlin barely missed their intended podium places at the start of the second season half of the ADAC Formula Masters at the weekend (8th to 10th August) which took place with races 13 to 15. Fourth places by Maximilian Günther (Rettenberg/Race 14) and Philip Hamprecht (Hagen/Race 15) – the rookie achieved his best placement of the season to date – as well as Kim Luis Schramm (Wümbach/Race 15) in fifth place were the best results from the 5.922 kilometre track in Slovakia for the German Capitol’s racing team in action for the ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg.

Last year’s vice champion Maximilian Günther (elimination in race 13, seventh in race 15) remains in second overall place. Marvin Dienst (ninth twice, tenth once) ranks fifth. Two places behind him is Kim-Luis Schramm (elimination race 13, eighth in race 14). Philip Hamprecht (seventh in race 13, elimination in race 14) completes the top ten in the table. Swiss Giorgio Maggi occupies 15th place, having barely missed points with an eleventh place in race 14 and as twelfth  for the start (also a 14th place). The team ratings remain unchanged with last year’s champion kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport as runner up.

“The boys were well prepared. It’s a shame that the weekend did not result in a podium place”, says Peter Mücke. “The strong field of junior drivers allowed nobody to just take off. The important thing was the right strategy in the many slipstream duels – it was paramount to be in teh right position at the right time and to pull over at the exact right moment”, explains the team manager who was in action himself at the 42nd AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix at the Nürburgring but kept updated with the events in Slovakia throughout the weekend. In his Ford „Zakspeed“ Turbo Capri, Peter Mückescored two class victories at the Revival German Motorsports Championship, equalling two second overall places in the 40 vehicle strong field.

The next ADAC Formula Masters season event is scheduled for the 29th to 31st August at the Nürburgring with races 16 to 18.
