Zeta Corse prepares for key races in Paul Ricard practice
It’s been a day of solid work for Zeta Corse at Circuit Paul Ricard, as the team and its lone driver for the weekend, Roberto Merhi, prepare to continue their sensational comeback in standings and fight for the 2014 World Series Renault 3.5 title. Lined-up in beautiful Cote D’Azure, the team focused on preparing for the rest of the weekend, completing a consistent run. In the end, Merhi made his way to 8th place in the second session, although the laptimes weren’t the goal of today’s activity.
Things will get more serious tomorrow with the running of qualifying 1 at 9:40 AM, while the lights will go off for race 1 at 13:00 PM.

“We did the normal work for a Friday, which is trying to understand how our car works with the tires and figure out the best possible set-up adjustments. So the laptimes aren’t very realistic to judge. Regarding the track, there isn’t a lot of grip but we can live with that, and it’s the same for everybody. Now we’re focusing on tomorrow, and we hope to continue the good job done in the last few races.”
