Two ADAC Formula Masters runner up titles for Team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport
Berlin team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport finished the 2014 ADAC Formula Masters season with vice championship titles by Maximilian Günther (Rettenberg) in the driver ratings and by the racing team in the team ratings. To end the season with races 22 to 24 this past weekend at the Hockenheimring, the German Capitol’s racing team, in action for the ADAC Berlin Brandenburg, yielded good results once more. Günther, having secured two pole positions during the qualifying, finished as second in the first race (22), followed by a fourth and a ninth place. Just like last year, he finished the season as vice champion.
The overall table lists Marvin Dienst (Lampertheim) who had achieved a ninth, sixth and seventh place in Hockenheim, as a very good fourth. Kim-Luis Schramm (Wümbach) also ranks in the top ten as overall ninth. Following elimination, he crossed the finishing line in Hockenheim as eighth and fourth. Swiss Giorgio Maggi had entered point ratings on four occasions during the season but was not to repeat this achievement in Hockenheim with two 13th places and one 14th). He ranks in position 15.
“I was delighted that we could be at the start with another two pole positions for the season finals” says team manager Peter Mücke. “The overall result is not quite what we had wished for but I am still happy, along with our team and drivers, for what we have achieved. Needless to say, that includes the good placements of our boys in the last three races.”
The team’s focus is already towards next year’s season, in which the Formula ADAC Masters will be replaced with the new, internationally aligned ADAC Formula 4. “Our team will certainly be at the start of the new series, which represents an even higher level, next year”, explains Peter Mücke. “We can’t wait to bring out our full potential and will certainly be familiarising ourselves with the new cars’ performance levels.”
The 2014 season is not quite finished yet for Team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport. The next event is scheduled for this coming weekend (10th to 12th October) in the Italian Imola, where the second last station of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship will take place. One week later, the season final in Hockenheim (17th to 19th October) as well as the Formula 3 Grand Prix in Macau (13th – 16th November) will conclude these series.
