REBELLION RACING – 6 HOURS OF FUJI PREVIEW
REBELLION Racing is in Japan for the fifth round of the 2014 FIA World Endurance Championship, the 6 Hours of Fuji to be held on the legendary Fuji Speedway.
Last year’s race was shortened due to heavy rain on the track (the #13 REBELLION Racing car finished in third place overall). Next Sunday’s race may take place under the rain again as a new typhoon is expected to hit Japan during the weekend.
REBELLION Racing secured the LMP1-L Championship after the last round at Austin. It’s the third consecutive win in the FIA WEC for the team after their 2012 and 2013 Trophy wins.
Nicolas Prost, Nick Heidfeld and Mathias Beche have won 4 times in four races in the LMP1-L class aboard the #12 Rebellion R-One, Andrea Belicchi, Fabio Leimer and Dominik Krahaimer driving the sister #13 R-One will try to fight against bad luck to be in a position to contest for their first win of the season after securing two pole positions in Silverstone and Austin.
Once again both REBELLION Racing R-Ones will try to contest factory car supremacy and will aim to finish the Japanese enduro as close as possible to the podium.
On Sunday October 12, the 6 Hours of Fuji will start at 11h00 local time (8h00 GMT).
