GT4 European Series reveals exciting 2015 calendar
After a successful inaugural season, the organisation of the GT4 European Series succeeded to compose an even more attractive calendar for next year. The 2015 GT4 European Series will join leading GT meetings at spectacular circuits throughout Europe. The Pro Am-formula delivered exciting races in 2014 and remains unchanged, as well as the racing format with two one hour races.
The GT4 European Series will start its second season while partnering the Blancpain GT Series at Nogaro, France. Next stop is Circuit Park Zandvoort along the North Sea coast, a popular track among both teams and racing drivers. Next year the GT4 European Series makes its first visit to Austria. The challenging Red Bull Ring in Spielberg will host the third meeting of the GT4 European Series, which will perform as support series of the ADAC GT Masters.
Ultimate GT racing weekend
The fourth round will be held at Spa-Francorchamps during the ultimate GT racing weekend of the year: the 24 Hours of Spa. 65,000 spectators attended the event in 2014. The famous Nürburgring in Germany will be the scenery for the penultimate meeting during the ADAC GT Masters weekend, before the season finale at Misano, Italy as support series of the prestigious Blancpain Sprint Series.
‘Next level’
Max Braams, coordinator of the GT4 European Series, revealed next year’s calendar and said: “The inaugural season has been beyond expectations. We’ve seen thrilling races with various makes and many international participants taking part. As we speak, several teams and drivers are interested to take part in our championship. I think we composed a great calendar with meetings at impressive tracks during highly reputable events throughout Europe and it takes the series to a next level.
