DTM driver Félix da Costa wins in Buenos Aires
BMW DTM driver António Félix da Costa is the winner of the fourth round of the FIA Formula E Championship season, held in Buenos Aires, thus celebrating his first win in the series for purely electrically powered single-seaters.
In front of 20,000 spectators on the sold out grandstands around the street circuit of Argentina’s capital, Buenos Aires, Félix da Costa started from eight position on the grid to work his way up in great style and win the 35-lap race with a 5.354-second lead over France’s Nicolas Prost, in the end. “I realised as early as in the qualifying session that we had the speed to battle it out at the very front,” said Félix da Costa, “And I’m really happy that we even succeeded in winning the race.” In a tumultuous race with several accidents, the BMW i8 safety car also had to go out several times.
The next FIA Formula E Championship round will be held on 14th March on a street circuit in Miami, USA.
