Maximilian Günther at the 2015 season with the Team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport
That sounds like further success: The German Team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport from Berlin will compete at the 2015 season of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship with Maximilian Günther. The now 17 year old from Rettenberg (Bavaria) has been vice champion last two years of the ADAC Formula Masters and champion in 2013 together with the racing stable from the German capital city. Now the Mücke crew and the overall winner of the Deutsche Post Speed Academy 2014 want to attempt further milestones at this high class junior series.
„The whole team is happy to continue the successful work with Maxi this year“, said the team principal Peter Mücke. „It’s a tradition at our racing stable to prepare young drivers at the junior series for the pro series of motorsports. And Maximilian is ready now, he proofed that at the test drives in the last few weeks.“ Of course he will need some time to find his way and gather experience at his debut year at the hard fought FIA Formula 3 European Championship that is considered to be the stepping stone for the Formula 1. „I feel certain about Maxi and his ability to achieve that in a short time. We are curious about the new season already“, said Peter Mücke.
And also Maximilian Günther, who is supported by the ADAC Stiftung Sport and drove his first laps in a Kart at the age of six, can hardly wait for the sharp start from 10th to 12th of April in Silverstone (England). „Now my move to the FIA Formula 3 European Championship is finally official. I am really happy that I achieved it to drive at this series this year“, said the Allgäu born in Oberstdorf, who prepares for his A level graduation at the grammar school of Immenstadt. „A lot of actual Formula 1 and DTM drivers learned their tools of the trade at the Formula 3. I am aware that this won’t be a walk in the park. But that is extra motivation for me to aim on this goal. It’s great to continue the great work with the team of Peter Mücke. We had two very successful years at the ADAC Formula Masters and know each other very well. Now I am fired up for the new season.“
Maximilian Günther is the second contracted driver of the Team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport for the 2015 season of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship. At the middle of December, the racing stable from Berlin already contracted the 20 year old Italian Michele Beretta, who had his debut year at this championship in 2014.
