Rising Belgian star Denis Dupont will return to the NASCAR Whelen Euroseries with Marc VDS backing for the 2015 season. He will drive the #32 Racing Club Partners Toyota Camry.

After impressing in his debut season, securing two victories and two further podiums, the aim this season will be to take the NASCAR Whelen Euroseries title. The series is officially sanctioned by the NASCAR organisation, with each team running identical 5.7 litre V8 powered machines, with four speed manual gearboxes, reflecting the spirit of the American regulations.

The series is split between rounds on ovals – at Venray in the Netherlands and Tours in France – and several road courses, split over six rounds of the season. Each round is a double header, with races on Saturday and Sunday.

The series has two classes, one for experienced drivers and one for younger drivers beginning their careers. Dupont will take on Elite 2, where he will battle some of the best young talent in Europe. The two classes race completely separately, meaning the Belgian star will be racing for overall victory in every race. The car will be run by Racing Club Partners, with some technical support from the Gosselies squad.

Marc van der Straten, Team Owner
“I’m proud to be supporting young talent on four wheels and two. This is a great opportunity to help a young Belgian make a career in this sport, and Denis showed last year that he has strong potential. In his very first season in car racing he won races – that’s exceptional. It’s also good to be continuing our relationship with Racing Club Partners – I have great trust in them and look forward to another successful year of NASCAR racing!”

Denis Dupont, #32 Toyota Camry
“This is a great opportunity to continue with Marc VDS, and I’m thankful that they have given me their support. Last year we showed we had the speed to battle for the championship and we had a few problems, but with a year’s experience behind us I believe we can be champions together. I have to really thank Marc van der Straten and the team, because without them this would not be possible. I aim to reward their faith in me with success!”
