Competition102 GT4 European Series presents line-up for opening round
Competition102 GT4 European Series is proud to present its provisional 2015 entry list. A mix of familiar teams and new entries with brand new GT4 racing cars are expected to line up at the grid in Nogaro (FRA) 4 – 6 April. It marks the start of a new season that includes events at top-level international circuits partnering the ADAC GT Masters and Blancpain Sprint Series.
Reigning champion Racing Team Holland by Ekris Motorsport enters a BMW M3 GT4 and a Mustang FR500C. The drivers piloting the successful vehicles will be announced shortly. Dutch drivers Luc Braams / Duncan Huisman and Jelle Beelen / Marcel Nooren are considered as title contenders with each pair driving a Chevrolet Camaro GT4 prepared by V8 Racing.
At least five cars will debut in April. Sofia Car Motorsport proudly represents two Sin R1 GT4 cars, which are designed in Bulgaria and built in the United Kingdom. Rosen Daskalov (BGR), founder of Sin Cars, and Grigor Grigorov (BGR) will be driving the number 11 vehicle while Hendrick Still (GER) gets behind the wheel of the second car.
KTM Sportcar GmbH and Reiter Engineering GmbH & Co KG have recently completed the development of the KTM X-BOW GTR racer. Team Zawotec enters two of these in the series and will be driven by Austrian pilots Sascha Halek, Peter Ebner and Daniel Uckermann. Another renowned brand makes an appearance: PROsport Performance has committed to enter a newly built Porsche 981 Cayman SP. SRO will balance all GT4 cars.
Competition102 GT4 European Series also welcomes the arrival of ASC Bulavto Racing, entering a Lotus Evora GT4 with Pavel Lefterov (BGR) behind the wheel. British driver Marcus Clutton pilots a Chevron GT4. Allied Racing’s Dietmar Lackinger (AUT) and Jan Kasperlik (GER), who made a guest appearance during last season’s finale at Monza, are participating with a BMW M3 GT4. Liesette Braams (NLD) finished second in last year’s AM category and is determined to take the win with her BMW M3 GT4 too. Her main contender is reigning AM-champion André Grammatico (FRA) and his BMW M3 GT4.
A number of extra entries are expected in due course. Among potential participants are three teams from Sweden that are likely to join the second event.
