Zeta Corse ends Alcaniz WSR test in the top-10

Lining up in beautiful weather conditions at Motorland Aragón despite a little bit of wind, Zeta Corse delivered a consistent performance in the final round of preseason testing for the 2015 Formula Renault 3.5 season.

Lining-up at the Spanish venue, both drivers Roman Mavlanov and Facu Regalia experienced some solid runs. The Argentinian also ended up the fourth and final session with the 9th fastest lap and emerged as one of the contenders for the 2015 title. He ran with the low downforce aerodynamic package mandated by the series for Day 2.

The team has now set their focus on the opening round of the season, scheduled for the 25th and 26th of April back at Motorland Aragón in Alcaniz.

Roman Novikov – Team Principal

“I want to thank all the guys that were here for the test today. We faced tough days, but as soon as we hit the track, we showed we are strong enough to stay among the frontrunners during the upcoming Formula Renault 3.5 season. The mechanics and engineers did an outstanding job as they disassembled and reassembled the car in 24 hours. Now we can look at the first round of the season with good confidence”.
Humphrey Corbett – Engineer

“We did a great job over the last couple of days. With the high downforce package we were ok both here and in Jerez, while we had struggled a little with the low downforce one. We made some successful experiments with Facu today and now we will be easily aiming for some points in the races. Having to use the low downforce set is an interesting technical challenge and I think there will be a lot of developments throughout the season”.
