The German Team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport from Berlin returned with four top ten placings at the seventh season event of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship with the season runs 19, 20 and 21 that were held in the main programme of the DTM this weekend (11th/12th of July) in Zandvoort (Netherlands). Maximilian Günther (Rettenberg) with position seven at the race on Saturday afternoon and right behind him Santino Ferrucci (USA), who finished ninth on Sunday, as well as Mikkel Jensen (Denmark) on position eight on Saturday in the field of 34 drivers scored the points for the racing stable from the German capital city at the 4.307 km long track in the dunes of the North Sea. And the Mücke pilots Michele Beretta (Italy/positions 18, 16, 15) and the Chinese Kang Ling (23, 24, 23/all Dallara Mercedes) also did quite well at the toughest junior series in the world.

„Our guys did a good job. They were at this track that demands a lot from the drivers and where overtaking is extremely difficult for the first time with the FIA Formula 3 European Championship. That’s why I am not dissatisfied with the results“, said team principal Peter Mücke, whose racing stable already celebrated many successes in Zandvoort the last few years. „But we achieved these results with drivers that were really experienced at this track. Our young drivers have to find their pace first at this new track and in the big field. And they did quite good at that.“

The best placed Mücke pilot at the overall rankings is Maximilian Günther on position seven, who finished 12th on Sunday and had to drive into the pit due to damages on the car on Saturday, just like his team colleague Santino Ferrucci (positions 29 and 28). Behind him there is the Dane Mikel Jensen (18th on Saturday afternoon, outage on Sunday due to a collision) on overall position nine. And two positions behind him there is Santino Ferrucci. Günther is on position four at the rookie championship ranking, Jensen on position six. Winners of the races in Zandvoort were the Italian Antonio Giovinazzi (Dallara Volkswagen), the Swede Felix Rosenqvist (Dallara Mercedes) and Markus Pommer (Dallara Volkswagen) from Neckarsulm.

The eighth season event of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship with the season runs 22 to 24 is scheduled from 31st of July to 2nd of August at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg (Austria).
