In fact, the Barcelona-born driver has shown the spirit of those who never back away from challenges. In spite of he spun at the start, when safety car was deployed, he joined the field again. Eventually, he overtook several cars to finish 11th. Tomorrow Canamasas will start from sixth row on the grid, eying points on Sunday.
“I was left with a mountain to climb. As if it were not enough I spun at the start losing 13 second, but at least under safety car period I managed to rejoin the field”, Canamasas remarked. The driver of Team Lazarus added that “it is nice to put on that recovery, but this makes me thing what we could have achieved from 9th on the grid. I have had such a good time despite my car wasn´t perfect. DRS is rather useful at Monza. My goal tomorrow is to score some points”.
