Just two weeks after winning his class at the 24 hours of Barcelona, an historic achievement for a Kurdish driver, Tutumlu approaches another round in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo racing under Leipert Motorsport banner. Just like at previous rounds, Tutumlu will share the Lamborghini Huracan with Finland´s Jesse Anttila.

Spaniard of Kurdish heritage Isaac Tutumlu pays a visit to Germany where the penultimate round of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo takes place: Nürburgring. The venue of the Grand Prix of Germany is the return to shorter races for Tutumlu, who achieved an historic success at the 24 hours of Barcelona two weeks ago. Finland´s Jesse Anttila shall team up with Tutumlu again, with Leipert Motorsport pair targeting a podium finish in Pro Class.

“Amazingly, I´m looking forward to driving the Lamborghini again, even after the 24 hours of Barcelona. I can´t get enough of it! We made history at home with our class win and my goal is to continue that winning streak at Nürburgring”, Tutumlu comments, remarking “this race track brings back a lot of good memories for me. Just as Spa-Francorchamps, there is always high risk of rain, and I always have good performances in wet conditions. I finished first overall with my Porsche in the Int´l GT Open a few years ago at Nürburgring. And with the Lambo my pace was very competitive at Spa, so it isn´t a concern for me. I have a lot of experience, including when I contested the Porsche Supercup. Our car is exactly the same we used at the 24 hours of Barcelona, but Leipert Motorsport and Lamborghini have intensively worked on it, and I feel very confident. Jesse and I will try to step onto the podium finally”.

Friday´s free practice sessions will be an appetizer for weekend´s qualifying sessions, taking place on Saturday morning. Later, Race 1 starts at 15.10. Finally, Race 2 is due to start on Sunday at 10.50.
