FIA Formula 3 European championship at the Nürburgring – Santino Ferrucci and Mikkel Jensen with points in the Eifel
The German team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport from Berlin returns from the second to last season event of the FIA Formula 3 European championship last weekend (26th/27th of September) at the Nürburgring with five top ten placings. The US-American Santino Ferrucci (three times seventh) and the Dane Mikkel Jensen (fifth and tenth, both Dallara Mercedes) scored the points for the racing stable from the German capital city at the season runs 27 to 30 that were held in the main programme of the DTM. Jensen also scored a podium placing as third best rookie of the race.
„The performance of the drivers and the whole team was quite good at the Nürburgring. Our youngsters were competitive and had good races“, said team principal Peter Mücke. „It’s a little sad that Mikkel dropped out at the last race on Sunday due to an accident already at the first lap. He could have finished third or fourth. All in all the impression of this weekend was quite good.“
Felix Serralles from Puerto Rico, who was a guest driver for the team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport at the Nürburgring, finished 15th on Sunday and 18th at the first race on Saturday, but dropped out at the second race. The Italian Michele Beretta improved his performance with each race and finished 25th, 24th and 17th. Winner of all three races in the Eifel was the Swede Felix Rosenqvist (all Dallara Mercedes), who scored the FIA Formula 3 European championship title early with his performance. The season finale of this high class rookie series is scheduled from 16th to 18th of October at the Hockenheimring.
