The AVF team rounded out a tough but successful season in the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 at Jerez de la Frontera as Harrison Scott cruised to capture the series’ Best Rookie honours. Lining-up for their maiden full-time season in the European Renault-powered championship, the team managed by Adrián Vallés was able to secure the Rookie trophy, displaying the overall quality and consistency of their racing program.

In the three races completed in Andalusia, Scott sailed to three class wins and also ended up twice into the overall points zone by ending race 1 and race 3 in 10th and 8th place respectively. After running at Le Mans, Denis Bulatov was back with the Spanish squad at Jerez. The Russian continued to climb his learning curve in Formula Renault 2.0 and proved able to stay constantly among the top-20. Harrison also captured a valuable 12th place overall in the championship standings with 45 points. AVF ended up in eight place among teams with 47 points.

Harrison Scott (#27) Race 1: P10 +35”380 – Race 2: P11 +8”131 – Race 3: P8 +9”798

“Obviously I am really happy to have won the rookie championship. It was one of our aims since the beginning of the season. It was tough throughout the season, was good and was always quite close behind in the points but now getting two points finishes out of three here, there wasn’t much more we could ask for. I am really happy for myself and for the team, to get the rookie championship we worked really hard all year. With the year going on we got better and better and the results have shown that we are good”

Denis Bulatov (#58) Race 1: P16 +41”075 – Race 2: P15 +10”656 – Race 3: P15 +16”068

“From a performance point of view, Jerez went much better than Le Mans even though the rain was a nightmare for us. The final race was run with the dry and we showed we can have a good pace. We improved our laptimes and were competitive all around. I am also happy we have been able to work well in the other two races despite the mixed conditions, staying in the top-20. We had many safety-car situations that provided me with more chances to improve my position at the restarts”.
