Corvette Racing announced last week the recruitment of Jordan Taylor in place of Olivier Beretta and renewal of the other drivers. This time, the manufacturer unveiled the crew pairings, which take effect from the 12 Hours of Sebring. The Dane Jan Magnussen will share the wheel with the Spaniard Antonio Garcia, so far only present in the three long races (Sebring, Le Mans and Petit Le Mans), while from the middle of the 2010 season, he teamed-up with with Oliver Gavin . They will be joined by American Jordan Taylor on the long races.

Oliver Gavin, meanwhile, will join the American Tommy Milner, (winner of the recent 24 Hours of Le Mans in the LM GTE Pro category), and Antonio Garcia for the American Le Mans Series. Briton Richard Westbrook will join the duo for the three long races.

The choice was made after the Corvette Racing traditional testing that takes place before the start of the season, as stated by Mark Kent, the head of GM competition: “The pre-season testing and data analysis have shown that a change of crew would not improve overall performance. The size of the driver is an important factor as it comes into account to optimize the time to change drivers during refueling, but we also evaluated the driving styles and preferences of each chassis setting. With these pairs, we can minimize the trade-offs and maximize the confidence of drivers. “

The new crews will hit the track at the 12 Hours of Sebring on March 17.
