GT4 EUROPEAN SERIES BECOMES PART OF SRO MOTORSPORTS GROUP
After having trusted GT-future with the running of the GT4 European Series over the last two year, SRO Motorsports Group is pleased to announce that it has taken back responsibility in the series promotion. Being a full member of the SRO Motorsports Group will enable the championship to grow and to join spectacular events at premier European racetracks. Max Braams will remain the series manager.
The calendar of the GT4 European Series stays largely unchanged, with the highlight of the season Pau Grand-Prix, retaining its slot at May 15th. Newcomers on the agenda compared to 2015 are Monza in Italy and Silverstone in the United Kingdom.
The format of PRO / AM, AM and AM / AM drivers remains the same in 2016. In comparison with recent years, two events will now feature endurance races alongside the British GT Championship. The other events will include the regular 255 minutes of track time over a weekend that includes two free practice sessions, qualifying and two fifty-minute races. The championship eyes international television coverage and an extensive (online) communication programme similar to last seasons.

Over the past years we saw that GT4 racing can be very competitive and is getting more and more popular. Therefore I expect that in the years to come new GT4 cars will be developed by both the major manufacturers and private tuners. We have a challenging calendar for 2016 with both sprint and endurance races and a street race in Pau as a bonus.”
Max Braams (Race Series Coordinator at GT-future GmbH): “I am very pleased to announce that I will continue my job as series coordinator within the SRO Motorsports Group. We can count on the expertise from SRO already since the start of the GT4 European Series in 2014. Intensifying our cooperation enables us to race during the leading GT-events next year. This will put the GT4 European Series prominently on a higher level. We look forward to next season.”

SRO Motorsports Group was founded by Stephane Ratel and has specialised in the promotion, support and organisation of many national and international motorsport series since 1995.
