MRS GT-Racing announces Peru´s Ricardo Flores Ramírez to drive one of its Porsche 991 Cup cars in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany. Flores will make his debut in the ultra-competitive series teaming up with German star Christian Engelhart, who finished in the drivers´ standings last year.
MRS GT-Racing is delighted to announce that Peruvian racing driver Ricardo Flores Ramírez is joining the team to compete in Porsche Carrera Cup Germany in 2016, which is regarded as the most important one-make championship together with its sister Porsche Supercup series.

Flores Ramírez made his debut competing in selected events in his home country four years ago. More recently, he made the step into North-American racing by contesting the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge. Now Flores Ramírez gets ready to achieve success in one of the most professional and toughest racing series on the planet. Peruvian driver is striving to help pave the way for other Latin American drivers in Europe.
At the same time, MRS GT-Racing confirms another driver as Christian Engelhart will drive one of the cars entered by Lonsee-based team for the second consecutive year. Engelhart, aged 29, was crowned vice-champion in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany in 2015 setting an impressive record of two wins, five podiums, two pole-positions and two fastest laps.

As usual, the series will return to action in the frame of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters visiting tracks such as Oschersleben (15-17 April), Hockenheim (6-8 May), Spielberg (20-22 May), Lausitzring (3-5 June), Zandvoort (15-17 July), Nürburgring (9-11 September) and, once again, Hockenheim (14-16 October) for Porsche Carrera Cup Germany´s season finale.

Johan Koning Hemmerling: “It´s such a pleasure when everything clicks into place. We can announce our first drivers to contest the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany. We´ve already worked with Latin American drivers in the past. And we want to follow that same path with Ricardo. He faces a huge challenge but he is very motivated and, for sure, a quick-learning driver. I could call excellent news to have Christian with us for another season. He is one of the fastest Porsche drivers out there and we shall work to be in title contention again.”
