German team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport with a driver trio at the ADAC Formula 4
The German team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport from Berlin starts into the new championship season of the ADAC Formula 4 with a driver trio. The racing stable from the German capital city that represents the colours of the ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg, announces two new drivers – the 16 year old Lirim Zendeli from Bochum and the 17 year old Swede Oliver Söderström. German David Ortmann (also 16 years old) from Blumberg (near Berlin) will drive for the Mücke team at the ADAC Formula 4 Team for the second year.
„We have young and talented drivers in our row for the championship at the ADAC Formula 4 again, who are very promising to achieve great results“, said team principal Peter Mücke, whose racing stable finished third at the Team-Trophy last year. „Besides the two rookies, whose main goals will be to gather a lot of experience and finish in the top ten, Mike David Ortmann wants to fight about the title in his second championship year. We know our local hero and our team quite well, which is a great foundation for successes in the new season.“
And Mike David Ortmann, who belongs to the supported drivers of the ADAC Stiftung Sport for the first time this year, has a firm goal: „I want to fight about the title of the ADAC Formula 4.“ Last season he finished overall 12th and the vice champion of the rookie drivers. The 16 year old, who got elected as the motor sportsman of the year 2015 of the ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg, knows that he has a strong partner with the team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport at his side to achieve that. „The whole team is behind me. I learned a lot at my first season of formula racing last year and I was able to celebrate great successes already. I want to learn even more and gather more experience this year. And hopefully the outcome will be podium placings and wins“, said Mike David Ortmann.
The driver from Blumberg thanks all his partners, sponsors and especially his parents Aurica and Mike Ortmann, who are with him every race and support the way of their son in motorsports already since seven years. „I couldn’t operate my sports without the backup of my parents and I am very thankful for all the trust my partners and my parents put in me“, explained Mike David. One of his supporters is André Raupach, a former, successful Rallye driver. Mike David Ortmann is in his first year of apprenticeship as automotive mechatronics engineer in the car workshop of André Raupach (Raupach & Kalla in Blumberg). „It can only be an advantage for a young and ambitioned race driver to know the specifications of a car. Mike does quite well as apprentice, but still has to learn a lot, just like on the racetrack. But he has a great talent for both things and will certainly be successful“, said André Raupach.
Mike David Ortmann is raring to be behind the wheel of the 160 hp strong Formula 4 racecar powered by Abarth again. „It is itching in my fingers and my feet the whole winter already. I passed a lot of fitness and simulator training. Now it is time to get back behind the wheel of a real race car.“ The driver from Blumberg will have the opportunity to do that already before the sharp season start with the first three races in the middle of April at the etropolis Motorsports Arena Oschersleben. The test drives of the team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport are scheduled for 8th of March at the home track Lausitzring in southern Brandenburg near Klettwitz. By the way, the most favorite track of Mike David Ortmann, where he finished as rookie winner three times last year.
