MASTERS BECKONS FOR BENTLEY BOY PEPPER – Jordan Pepper all set to take the Bentley challenge to the ADAC GT Masters
South Africa’s Jordan Pepper is set for his first race for Bentley in the German ADAC GT Masters series opener at Oschersleben 16-17 April. Pepper, who won for Audi in the series last season before his Abt team switched to Bentley fro 2016, is looking forward to a thrilling new chapter in his race career.
“I’m really looking forward to getting out on track for the race weekend and pushing flat out until the very end,” Jordan promised. “Last week’s official test never went quite to plan for us — we lost a little track time after a few setbacks on day 1, but we were able to work through a good program on day 2 and collected some setup valuable data.
“The ADAC GT Masters field is going to be really competitive this year,” Pepper warned. “The test gave us a small idea of what’s to come, so lets just say we will have to make sure we are on top of our game every time, but I have no doubt we will be right up there as a team and the boys have put in a great deal of effort with the new cars to make sure we are ready.”
“The team is prepared; I am ready for the challenge and we will be looking for some really good results at the season opener.”
Jordan who won the wet ADAC GT Masters final last year, will share his Bentley Team ABT Continental GT3 with defending ADAC Masters Gentleman’s champion Andreas Weishaupt this year. The eight-round ADAC GT Masters roadshow through Germany, Austria and Holland starts at Oschersleben 16-17 April with Qualifying 1 and race 1 Saturday and Quali 2 and race 2 on Sunday. The races will be live streamed with live timing also available via http://www.adac-gt-masters.de/uk/.
