ADAC GT Masters – JORDAN KEEN TO PEPPER UP MASTERS

South Africa’s Bentley Boy Jordan Pepper is looking forward to the prospect of a more competitive second round of the German ADAC GT Masters series at the Sachsenring over the Mayday weekend. Pepper, who shares the Number 9 ABT Bentley Continental GT3 with reigning series Gentleman’s champion Andreas Weishaupt, is intent on a stronger overall result, even though the duo came away from the Oschersleben opener in the Trophy class lead.

“I quite like the Sachsenring,” Jordan admitted. “The Bentley performed very well there in 2015 – it is extremely good though fast corners so the middle sector suits us well — it’s a track that could be very good for us as long as the rain stays away.

“The team is ready to bounce back after Oschersleben and we are putting a lot of work in to make sure we take another step forward in, so I’m looking forward to that,” Jordan added. “Come race day the goal remains the same — to score well in the Trophy class where my teammate Andreas competes and of course for a good overall result as well ”Things never went our way at the Sachsenring there last year, so its time to make up — let’s wait and see what the weekend has in store…”

The Sachsenring situated between German towns Zwickau and Chemnitz is an interesting circuit with a twisty infield first sector leading into a series of quick corners and longer straights. The ADAC race weekend includes two race days a qualifying session and a 1-hour race on both Saturday and Sunday. The races will be live streamed with live timing also available via http://www.adac-gt-masters.de/uk/.
