ICONIC IMOLA NEXT STOP FOR ÁLVARO FONTES

The second round of the European Le Mans Series takes place at Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari and Spaniard Álvaro Fontes will return to by Speed Factory at the wheel of its Ligier-Nissan JSP3 LMP3 shared with Briton Tom Jackson and his fellow countryman Jesús Fuster once again. Fontes made his debut in the series at Silverstone but he faced a bitter-sweet weekend, after a brilliant performance in qualifying ­ Jackson posted 7th-quickest time- the by Speed Factory trio was forced to retire as a clash with a GT car damaged Ligier transmission while running 6th. The Malaga-born driver, who recently attended the official launch of Salón Spain, targets improvement at Imola ELMS. The 4-hour race will get underway on Sunday at 14.00 (CET). Álvaro Fontes: “We will be back stronger at Imola and with high hopes to build on. This race track is a classic motorsport venue, and we bring high ambitions on Italian soil. A 44-car field has been entered, so we have another challenging race ahead when strategy and incident-free run will play a key role to achieve a good result.”
