Spain´s Tutumlu will contest two races of the ADAC GT Masters, which joins the DTM at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz. Tutumlu and Car Collection Motorsport completed a pre-season test in Klettwitz earlier this year. More recently, they carried out another test at Zandvoort, where Tutumlu and his team worked to find the best Audi R8 LMS setup resulting in some major positive factors.

Isaac Tutumlu heads to EuroSpeedway Lausitz, where the third round of ADAC GT Masters takes place, full of energy. The German GT series are the strongest championship devoted to GT3 cars on a par with the Blancpain Series and will have a joint race weekend at Lausitzring. The German track, located in Brandenburg near the borders of Poland and Czech Republic, is not totally unknown for Tutumlu. Unlike Oschersleben and Sachsenring, the Barcelona-born driver carried out a private test session with Car Collection Motorsport at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz several weeks ago.

After Sachsenring, Tutumlu completed another test day at Zandvoort, during the 12-hour race event. There, Spain´s pilot and Car Collection Motorsport worked on adjusting setup to suit his driving style and preferences. With this in mind and with experienced gained from the previous events, Tutumlu is feeling optimistic ahead of Laustizring, where he will share the Audi R8 LMS with South-Africa´s Kelvin van der Linde.

“The ADAC GT Masters joins the DTM this time, so it will attract even larger crowds. Additionally, representatives from Audi, BMW and Mercedes will attend the race weekend. Definitely, it´s going to be something special and I want to fight at the front! At least, I discovered Lausitzring earlier this year. Only ten laps but it was a positive first outing even when weather wasn´t good at all!”, Tutumlu comments. He underlines that “I completed another test at Zandvoort, because our goal was to get a setup the drivers will be happy with, and I think we made a step forward. So, we approach this weekend with a greater prospect of success. Lady Luck wasn´t our side at Oschersleben and Sachsenring, where we were given several drive-through penalties. I expect clean racing this time. My goal is to made it into the top-ten but let´s see if we will be able to get something else.”

Friday is devoted to free practice and qualifying sessions. Both races will take place on Saturday and Sunday at 13.08.
