FFF aiming high in Japan
The FFF Racing Team and its drivers Edoardo Liberati and Andrea Amici are looking forward to getting back on track this weekend when the GT Asia Series resumes at Japan’s Okayama International Circuit (1-3 July 2016) following a successful test programme.
FFF Racing is all set for round five of the Championship following fine sixth and third position finishes in the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 last time out at Chang International Circuit, Thailand.
The team arrived in Okayama on Tuesday evening and spent Wednesday and Thursday setting up the garage and carrying out all scrutineering and official paperwork ready for testing to begin. The team then took part in three 45-minute sessions with both drivers working through a full programme whilst posting competitive times.
FFF Racing Team Owner, Sean Fu Songyang, said: “Okayama is a circuit we know very well and last year we won one of the races with Tonio Liuzzi and Hiroshi Hamaguchi. Following today’s testing, where we look in good shape and I expect us to be challenging to get on the podium in both the Saturday and Sunday races. Both of our drivers like this very technical and challenging circuit and today have shown we will be fast.”
Round five gets underway on Saturday 2 July at 14.15 local time, with the next race Sunday at 12.30.
