AVF scores maiden Eurocup F.Renault win

AVF by Adrián Vallés experienced a phenomenal day at Monza, lining-up for the third round of the 2016 Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 at the Italian venue. The Catalan squad, led by Adrián Vallés, cruised to an outstanding victory with Harrison Scott in Sunday’s race 3. The British driver won an exciting battle with Lando Norris and Dorian Boccolacci, and also perfectly managed a re-start after a safety-car situation. Scott had already made it to the podium by finishing third in race 1, while he was involved in a contact in race 2 before ending up in 13th place.

After being also involved in contacts on Saturday, Henrique Chaves scored one point in race 3, crossing the finishing line in tenth place. Nikita Mazepin also left a strong impression. The young Russian, who was lined-up by AVF at Monte Carlo, returned for Monza and delivered a bold recovery drive in race 2, moving up from the 14th place on the grid to the 8th position. He also scored a 12th place in race 1 before being forced to retire in race 3.

Nerses Isaakyan had a 14th place as his best result of the weekend in race 1, while he recovered from the 11th row on the grid to 16th place in both race 2 and 3. The fifth AVF car, Driven by Petru Florescu, brought home two 15th place finishes and a 17th place in race 2.
