GDL RACING COMPLETES 25H FUN CUP OF SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS
GDL Racing celebrated last weekend its participation in the 25H Fun Cup at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, completing the race with all the three cars. It was a prestigious result for the team led by Gianluca De Lorenzi in the longest race of the world, hosted in one of the most fascinating and difficult track.
With almost 125 crews at the start, the Italians Andrea Sapino, Cesare Guazzini, Alberto and Matteo Lunari, together with the 18-year-old Dutchman Rik Breukers – one of the frontrunners of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Europa that is set to face the next round at Spa at the end of July – claimed the 48th position.
Just behind them finished the all Australian quartet Mark Pilatti, Daniel Studderd, Brett and Malcolm Niall. More on the back was the Asian squad formed by Bill O’Brian, Chiawen Wu, Leo Wong and Yilong Yilong.
The participation in the 25H Fun Cup of Spa-Francorchamps is one of the endurance events of the 2016 GDL Racing calendar, including some of the most important races of the 24H Series.
