Tutumlu back on hostile ground: Red Bull Ring
Following a six-week break, the ADAC GT Masters resumes in Spielberg and Spain´s Tutumlu is back at the wheel of his Car Collection Motorsport-entered Audi R8 LMS. In principle, the Red Bull Ring doesn´t suit Audi-built cars. Besides, Tutumlu has no previous racing experience at the Austrian track.
ADAC GT Masters action resumes at the Red Bull Ring and Isaac Tutumlu faces another huge challenge. The Red Bull Ring promises to be the toughest of weekends for the Barcelona-born driver. Spielberg is regarded as less favorable for the Audi R8 LMS. Tutumlu, who shares the Car Collection Motorsport´s Audi with Kelvin van der Linde, is set to make his Red Bull Ring debut but he is determined to make the most of his experience and driving skills.
“Red Bull Ring should be one of the most demanding weekends of the season as more torque and top speed is required. Audi-built cars slightly struggle when you need high top speeds. Anyway, it depends on the BoP for Spielberg. On this basis, we will set our goals because the ADAC GT Masters is so professional, with top drivers, teams and brands, you need to bring out the best of your skills to achieve success”, Tutumlu underlines. He adds that “despite I know it is going to be difficult, I am looking forward to driving there. It is an iconic F1 circuit. Red Bull Ring completes a first series of unknown tracks for me but at least I was able to carry out a test session before at Oschersleben and Lausitzring. But I will discover the Red Bull Ring on Friday. This said, my goal is to put a good drive in and, if the BoP isn´t that bad, I hope to fight for a positive result”.
Race one takes place on Saturday at 13.15. Then, on Sunday, race 2 is due to start at 12.15.
