GDL TEAM ASIA CELEBRATES ITS DEBUT IN THE LAMBORGHINI BLANCPAIN SUPER TROFEO
Keong Wee Lim made a sensational debut last weekend in the the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Asia with the GDL Team Asia squad. The Singaporean driver had an almost flag to flag dominant Race 2, taking the lead at the very first lap and loosing the top position only in the last turns claiming a brilliant P2.
It was the right reward for Keong Wee Lim, who was unlucky in Race 1, when he was forced to a stop due to an accident after having been second for a long time.
The middle August weekend was superb for the GDL Team, that celebrated its return in the Asian headquarter. As well as it was a great debut in the Asian championship for “Tiger” Wee, looking forward the 24 Hours of Barcelona scheduled for September and the 12 Hours of Sepang that will be raced next December.
After having claimed five victories in the European Super Trofeo with Dutchman Rik Breukers, who is currently second in the championship, the Gianluca De Lorenzi’s squad faced another big challenge and showed well once more.
