LMP1 PRIVATEER POLE POSITION AT MEXICO FOR REBELLION RACING

REBELLION Racing secured their fourth LMP1 Privateer Pole Position of the season for tomorrow’s 6 Hours of Mexico race, the fifth round of the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship.

Dominik Kraihamer and Alexandre Imperatori in the Rebellion R-One AER #13 were the fastest of the LMP1 Privateers in front of the ByKolles car #4.
Dominik Kraihamer and Alexandre Imperatori achieved an average lap time of 1:29.909 and a fastest lap of 1:29.877.

With the qualifying lap times achieved by Dominik and Alexandre, the #13 Rebellion R-One AER will start tomorrow’s race from the fourth row on the grid.

Dominik Kraihamer – Rebellion R-One AER #13 : «We did two good laps and it was enough to secure the pole in our class. Before the session we didn’t knew what to expect with the tyres as the temperature was raising. The ByKolles car improved from the beginning of the season, but we are confident on our pace for the race.»

Alexandre Imperatori – Rebellion R-One AER #13 : « It was a smooth qualifying session as we only needed to post one flying lap for each driver. We saved one set of tyres so we will have one more for the race tomorrow. It’s a pity car 12 is not racing here as we would have wanted more competition. We did a good job with the team to achieve this result.»

Bart Hayden – REBELLION Racing Team Manager : « We are pleased with today’s qualifying session result. Car #13’s starting position on the grid is the one the drivers and the crew wanted and reward for the work done on the cars. We can now focus on our preparation for tomorrow’s race. It should be an exciting race. »
