RIK BREUKERS RUNNER UP IN THE LAMBORGHINI BLANCPAIN SUPER TROFEO
Rik Breukers is the 2016 Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Europa runner-up in the PRO-AM class after the last round held in Valencia last weekend at the “Ricardo Tormo” track. The 18-year-old Dutch of GDL Racing, claimed an extraordinary result at his very first season in the one-make series.
In Spagna, Breukers was also one of the protagonists of the World Final, when he finished first in his class in Race 1 and fifth overall. Unfortunately a rain-effected Race 2, slowed by two safety-car periods, put him out of the podium.
To show well with GDL Racing team was also Sanghwi Yoon, second among the Asian drivers in Race 1 and third in Race 2 after having taken part in the European last round.
There is no time for a break for GDL Racing. The team led by Gianluca De Lorenzi will hit the track this week for the 12H Sepang, where it will line-up an “endurance” version of the Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo for Singaporean Wee Liam Lim, Malaysian Melvin Moh and Breukers.
The race, organised by SRO, will see involved all the mai Factories and will be valid for the Intercontinental GT Challenge.
