Having secured podiums last time out in Dubai, FFF Racing by ACM continued its successful run this weekend (3-4 March, 2017) at the same venue with the team adding another three to the tally at the conclusion of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East series. The result sealed second position overall for the team in the championship race and second and third places for the drivers.

Running the #15 Lamborghini with Carrie Schreiner and Richard ‘Spike’ Goddard again on driving duties and the #5 with Jack Bartholomew and Devon Modell, the team enjoyed another successful weekend at Dubai Autodrome with a double runner-up position for the #15 crew and a podium for the #5 entry.

“It’s been a great championship for us,” stated FFF Racing Team Owner Sean Fu Songyang. “We have had podiums and impressive races in Abu Dhabi and Dubai proving that we can race with the best. Both sets of drivers did an excellent job and the #15 team proved to be especially consistent with Spike (Goddard) and Carrie, so it’s been a fantastic experience for us.”

The first race saw Schreiner and Modell start from 11th and 12th positions overall respectively. The former made a great start with Modell soon following suit to run in tandem with his teammate in eighth and ninth positions.

Pitting together Schreiner and Modell handed over to Goddard and Bartholomew for the second segment of the race. Goddard quickly got into a good rhythm to move up to third position. This became second with a great last lap pass giving the #15 duo the right-hand step on the podium. Bartholomew also made solid gains in his stint, moving fifth overall on the final lap.

Saturday’s second race saw Goddard and Bartholomew line up second and sixth on the grid. A solid race again saw Goddard retain position in the #15, while Bartholomew – who has been in the car for the whole programme – and Modell – enjoying his first outing with the team – had a tremendous race and chased the sister car across the line for the final podium place.

With seven podiums from the three rounds in the Super Trofeo Middle East, FFF Racing by ACM have used this championship to good effect in readiness for Super Trofeo Asia which gets underway at Sepang, Malaysia on 7-9 April.
