For the sixth round of the 2016/17 FIA Formula E Championship, Renault e.dams moves to the Invalides, the iconic circuit in the heart of the Parisian capital for the second time in Formula E history. The team is more determined than ever to try to claim a first victory on home soil.
Renault e.dams started the European tour in fine style by winning for the second time in Monaco, making Séb Buemi the only driver to be triumphant on the streets of the Principality in Formula E. After the perfect weekend: best time in both free practice sessions, pole position, a victory and ninth place, the team and the drivers see their motivation multiplied tenfold for this second edition of the Qatar Airways Paris ePrix.
This Paris ePrix is one of the most important rounds of the season, in particular with having a French sponsor amongst others. Indeed, Renault is the leader in the European market in terms of electric vehicles, thanks in particular to ZOE, the best-selling car in 2016.
With a total of 152 points for the team – 104 for Séb Buemi and 48 for Nico Prost, Renault e.dams is preparing for an epic ePrix, with the goal to scoring their first victory in Paris to take the maximum points to remain on top in the championship.
Nico Prost – n°8: “The Paris ePrix is a special one for us! The circuit is very challenging with unusual corners and I look forward to racing there once more! I arrive in Paris with all the motivation I need to get on the podium! ”
Séb Buemi – n°9: “After our success in Monaco, I arrive in Paris even more motivated than ever to score another podium. It’s a special weekend for us with the team and I will do my best to continue our top form.”
