The teams and drivers of the Eurocup Formula Reanult 2.0 2017 went back on-track last weekend and AVF by Adrián Vallés joined the pack at Le Castellet for the eight round of the championship. A the French Paul Ricard circuit, the Catalan squad made their way to the top-10 in both races thanks to Thomas Randle, who finished in ninth and tenth place respectively to increase his points toll for this season. Randle has been in the points zone seven times in the last seven races. AVF is holding seventh place in the team standings with 78 points. Axel Matus and Henrique Chaves were less lucky as they retired for a crash occurred during the opening lap of race 1. The Portuguese racer did not see the checkered flag on Sunday too, while Matus ended up 15th. Xavier Lloveras brought home two 19th place finishes as he continues to climb his learning curve after joining the team mid-season.

Adrian Valles

“I am delighted to have once again ended up in the points zone, a very important positive result that demonstrates how competitive our cars are in a top-level scenario. I feel for the contacts that put Chaves out of contention too early, but the progress of Xavier and Thomas, who continue to grow up, make me feel really proud. Axel continues to move closer to the points zone too, and I am sure that in the upcoming round at Spa, and even more than that in the home race at Montmelò, we will be able to increase our score.”
