Vaillante REBELLION goes to the US for the 6 Hours of COTA
The Team will start the 6 Hours of COTA this weekend in Austin, Texas, two weeks after their victory in this World Endurance Championship season at the 6 Hours of Mexico.
After an incredible race at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City, Oreca 07 #31, with Bruno Senna, Nicolas Prost and Julien Canal on board, signed the team’s first victory in 2017. The #13 team composed of Mathias Beche, Nelson Piquet Jr and David Heinemeier Hansson ended up in fifth position after making an impressive comeback because of a last position on the starting grid for a penalty during the qualifying session.
For this sixth race, team Vaillante REBELLION moves to the Texas capital for the second overseas race of the FIA WEC season before flying to Asia next October.
Bruno Senna, #31 driver:
“COTA and Austin are one of my favourite events of the year. The track is challenging and the high temperatures will make us suffer, so it will be a race of attrition. The points gap has decreased drastically in Mexico and we’ll keep pushing for the championship!”
David Heinemeier Hansson, #13 driver:
“Looking forward to going to Austin, and take another swing at that podium. The series is so competitive right now that every little thing counts, and we’ll be trying our best to get all of them right for this event.”
