Huge interest for 24H BARCELONA from September 7th till 9th, 2012

A little bit less than five months before this year’s running of the 24H BARCELONA, the 24-hour race for GTs, touring cars and 24H Specials from September 7th till 9th, over 80 percent of the starting grid has already been filled. With more and more entries from all over Europe almost coming in on a daily basis, teams interested in participating in the 24-hour race at the Circuit de Catalunya should sign up quickly, as there are not too many places left.

Last year, Dutch agency CREVENTIC, well-known as the initiator and organiser of the Dunlop 24H DUBAI, teamed up with Circuit de Catalunya to promote and increase the international status of the 24H BARCELONA. This already resulted in a successful event in 2011 with drivers and teams from many European countries. Media coverage was up, too, with reports in electronic and print media and on TV. For this year, the field of competitors promises even more variety, with GT3 and GT4 machines, Cup racing cars, silhouettes and touring cars and teams from Spain, France, The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Slovakia, Hungary, Denmark, the UK, Lithuania, Switzerland and Turkey.

Dunlop is the exclusive tyre partner of the event

Dunlop has committed itself to become the event’s exclusive tyre partner, following its successful involvement in the Dunlop 24H DUBAI. Accordingly, just like in Dubai, all competitors will be racing with Dunlop tyres. Experienced specialists from Dunlop’s motorsport department will be present to provide technical support. As an extra incentive for all participating teams, the first six rain tyres for each car will be supplied by Dunlop free of charge. On all the other tyres used during the event, a discount of 25 percent is being granted.

Teams still wanting to enter for this year’s 24H BARCELONA will be registered on a first come,  first served basis. The reduced entry fee for early entrants (entry and payment before June 29th, 2012) is 4,500 Euros including VAT and fuel. In case there are still grid slots available, the entry fee after June 29th will be 5,500 Euros. Co-organisers CREVENTIC are also offering attractively-prized hotel accommodation within walking distance from the circuit, while cheap flights are available to Barcelona with budget airlines providing regular services from various airports throughout Europe. The near-by city of Barcelona itself, of course, needs no further introduction, as one of the world’s most popular destinations for city trips. Why not combine this with some nice racing action in the 24H BARCELONA?
