Motorsport Festival VW Cup – Tasmin ready to give the boys grief
Two Pepper Racing Polos are headed to Kyalami to close off the 2017 Engen Volkswagen Cup season Saturday 4 November, with Tasmin Pepper and Daniel Duminy ready to deliver their best at the iconic racetrack.
“I’m looking forward to some great racing at Kyalami,” Campos/Alpine Pepper Racing’s Tasmin Pepper confirmed. “I missed the first round there this year, so it will be a new challenge as I have not driven on the new track yet and unfortunately Shaun won’t be there to help me give the field a hard time, so its up to Dan and I to end the season off on a high note. “2017 has brought plenty of ups and downs, so we are hoping to end it only on an up. “Huge thanks to Shane and my dad for all the effort they have put into the car, let’s go give the boys grief for one final time!”
“I’m excited for a good weekend,” SMD Pepper Racing driver Daniel Duminy admitted. “Kyalami is a great circuit and brilliant to drive so I’m looking to finish off the season in style. “Special thanks to Iain, Shane and Juandre for all the effort on my car and to my parents for all the support — it should be a fantastic end to the season.”
Team regular Shaun La Réservée will miss his second Kyalami race in a row this year to stand with his brother at the altar after missing the previous race, which clashed with his own wedding. “I don’t know what it is with Kyalami and weddings this year, but it seems they are all happening on the same days. “Good luck to the team this weekend — I am sure they will finish off in style!”
“We will be a little less frantic with just two cars racing on Saturday,” team boss Iain Pepper concluded. “Kyalami is always a great weekend and we are looking forward to finishing the season on a high — see you at Kyalami!”
