AVF secured the fastest laptime of the European Le Mans Series preseason test at Le Castellet. The Spanish squad, led by Adrián Vallés, made its official debut in endurance prototype racing after winning titles in the World Series by Renault in the previous years. With solid foundations which include the use of the state-of-the-art Dallara chassis, Vallés wants to translate the successful form to endurance racing, and that led to the lap of 1’41″018 that eventually ELMS field at the French venue. Driving the Italian-built car, two talented racers bred by AVF, Portuguese Henrique Chaves and the Russian Konstantin Tereschenko, who took turns behind the wheel of the car during the two-day session at Circuit Paul Ricard. The same venue used by the FIA WEC last weekend, and the same hosting the 2018 ELMS opener in just a few days.

“We are really happy to have set the fastest time in collective testing because it was our first official appearance in the European endurance series and we immediately let a good impression. Both our drivers adapted well to the new environment. We faced difficult climatic conditions, but it is a good starting point considering that we are definitely going to face weather variables during the year. We were also very surprised by the results, positive in our opinion, we got from the race simulation. We can not wait to start this new adventure”.
