REBELLION RACING ON THE WAY TO THE 24 HOURS OF LE MANS

Let’s go ! The 24 Hours of Le Mans will start next Saturday. In the meantime, a big week awaits the members of REBELLION Racing Team.
The Test Day took place on Sunday, June 3rd at the Circuit des 24 Heures. The REBELLION R-13 cars numbers #1 and #3 ended up the second and fourth best times of the session with the following chronos: 3:21.344 and 3:19.680.
Next session for both REBELLION R-13s: the free practice session on Wednesday, June 13th at 4:00 pm.

Bart Hayden, Team Manager
“We are pleased with the performance of the REBELLION R-13 cars during the official Test Day at Le Mans. We were able to work through a large programme of changes to the set-up of the cars and we validated many things. All of our drivers had laps in our cars and the Test Day has enabled us to be ready for the race week.”

Neel Jani, #1 driver
“Very productive Test for us as we could try a lot with the different tyre compounds and also setup options. I hope though the Test was not a taste of how the race will be as there were many incidents on track that caused a lot of red flags/safety cars and yellow zones.”

Bruno Senna, #1 driver
“The Le Mans Test Day was very productive for us. We managed to validate lots of changes and progress through the car setup to make it more competitive during the 24h. Still lots to learn with this very young, but promising car and really looking forward to kicking the Le Mans 24h week off soon!”

André Lotterer, #1 driver
“Very good productive day. The car is impressive in the fast sectors and we progressed well in setup from Spa. It’s fun to drive at Le Mans at the wheel this car. It remains to analyze the data of the pre-Test to further improve the setup and then go!”

Mathias Beche, #3 driver
“The day went well, we were able to continue and confirm the setup found during our Tests at Monza and accumulate kilometers without any worries. The team did a great job to give us a car at this level of performance and reliability. Everyone feels comfortable and the chronos are very interesting. We are extremely happy to finish this pre-Test in second position but aware that the level of performance displayed by the competition during the race will be well above. So we must get back to work and that’s what the entire technical team will do in the days to come to prepare more calmly this huge challenge of Le Mans.”

Thomas Laurent, #3 driver
“The car was very good, the team did a great job. It performed well and no reliability issues during the Test Day, very good sign for the 24 Hours. A great week is coming, we all look forward to it. The best is yet to come Saturday hoping for a great performance at the qualis!”
