#GTOpen – Luzich Racing took new victories during GT Open weekend at Monza
Luzich Racing celebrated another landmark weekend winning at Monza, round 6 of the GT Open International championship. The team enjoyed successful perfomances in both race 1 and race 2, taking two victories in different classes and continuing championship momentum in the ranks. Luzich Racing is still the leader in Driver’s and Team classifications. In race 1, Eddie Cheever III and Nicklas Nielsen (Luzich Racing Ferrari 488 No. 52) won the Pro-Am class at their debut in the championship. Alessandro Pier Guidi and Mikkel Mac took the fifth overall spot. Alexander West and Michele Rugolo ended eighth with their 488 No. 71. In race 2, Mikkel Mac and Alessandro Pier Guidi won at the wheel of Luzich Racing Ferrari 488 No.51 thanks to a perfect race and right strategy at the wall; the Dane (Mac) is continuing to lead the Drivers standing with 3 points of advantage on Fran Rueda-Andrés Saravia. Mac and Pier Guidi gained the fourth win of the season. In Pro-Am, solid driving efforts were also seen by team newcomer Cheever III – Nielsen who took the second position. Ninth place for West and Rugolo. The last round of the GT Open will be at Barcelona in one month during which the titles for the Race Season will be decided.
