The curtain has just fallen on Sébastien Loeb Racing’s first season in the World Rallycross Championship. The whole team has enjoyed a rich learning year and Greg sums up 2018 before handing over to the boss in the final report devoted to this great adventure!

Grégoire Demoustier (Sébastien Loeb Racing driver): “I would have liked to have got into the semi-finals at the last event of the year in South Africa. I think we could have made it with a little more luck. We had the pace and we’ve improved in so many areas when you compare it to our first race in Barcelona. In general, it’s been a very beneficial season; the overall performance of the car and the team has made a big step forward in many areas. To come back to this weekend, it wasn’t too bad except that we had a few technical issues which prevented us from taking part in Q2 in particular. It was frustrating, but at the same time I was happy to see that we were quick. To round off this season’s reports I’m going to talk to you about the boss, Sébastien Loeb. It’s the second time in my career that I’ve raced for his team. I already had the chance of defending the colours of SLR in the WTCC three years ago. It was a real pleasure to be back with the team this year in the WRX and especially to be involved in a brand-new project for me and for them; it was a fantastic experience. I’d like to thank Seb for all the support I’ve received this season whether on the technical side or in terms of driving: he was able to point us in the right direction and support us. It was really great to take advantage of his experience at the meetings.”
